Spring Cleaning

I am cleaning out my sewing room. again!
So looking at my piles of pattern books i decided to list some on my etsy shop which i love ..
but i hope someone else will get to use it, as i will probably not.

You know that deep down need to create crafts? I think i lost it, or something else is replacing it,
who knows why..before Aeon i was super crafty but now i am satisfied just putting the kids for bed and watching Downton Abbey. My hands are no longer longing for an activity. It's weird.

Plus i am going back to work soon and i just know i will not have the time!

Anyway here are the books i have, all are used but in lovely shape.
Plus all are only $10! Grab one while they last!

Happy Birthday Aeon~~

Frankly i am just not in the mood when summer is around to blog..frankly i don't know if i really care to blog for a while i think because i really just had no NEED to. I dunno...sometimes i really want to just throw away all online social life and just LIVE.

This summer was pretty epic. I think the best summer ever.
Part actual warm temperatures and sun in Vancouver and just plain putting the effort..y'know?

Oh! Yeah so why this post?
I finished my Crochet Baby Blanket which i started way back in the winter!
Made it in time as a present for Aeon's First Birthday too!

She ate all the birthday cake!!
Loved every bit of it too..

My latest obsession this summer is when Jayson finally put up a clothing line in our backyard that i can pull up and down with a little pulley. I never know how satisfied i felt after pinning them all up and seeing the line of clothes flapping in the sun. I have never ever had a clothes line which in East Van..is crazy since everyone has one here. Now i feel accomplished.

This was just a lunch i made ..but the colours were very autumn..
See those Chicken Wings? Those are YUM!

RECIPE

A Large Package of Chicken Wings..This Sauce is pretty flexible..I have used it for the large pack to just a couple pounds of wings. Whatever you can get your hands on..

Grapeseed Oil

SAUCE
1 Cup Water
3 Cloves Garlic
3 Slices of Ginger

1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar for a sweeter lighter style.
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
1/4 Cup Chicken marinade Sauce ( or just double the Soy Sauce)
1/4 Chili Chicken Sauce
Sesame Seeds
2 TBSP Chives

Get a soup pot for this on high.
Put some oil in and brown the chicken. 5 minutes should do it, depends on how much chicken i got in there though.
Add garlic, ginger, Balsamic, Soy Sauce, Chicken Sauces and keep on high until it comes to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and cover for 20 min.
Take cover off and Reduce Sauce for around 10 minutes until it is a glaze.

Plate and sprinkle chives and sesame seeds on top!

Nim Nim!

It's my way to make some for freezing for easy lunches with the kids too.
Good with some mixed rice and yams!

Up Up and Away in my unicorn balloon!

Up Up in the air in my unicorn balloon..
(ok it is actually up up and away in my beautiful balloon ..but i always thought it sounded like unicorn balloon..it's a thing.. we joke about it all the time but today it was no joke!

Jayson helped hold the balloon while the fans blew the air in.

The flight was for sunset..It was a nice way to spend an 8th anniversary.
If you are thinking of doing it, i loved it and would go again in a heartbeat!

Cookin and Bakin and Succulents?

So i am loving succulent plants lately with the baby and kid i so not have time to water my plants at all these days! When it came to giving the teacher a gift, i immediately thought of succulents and went to to Wonderbucks to grab a couple of cute planters. Of course i got one for myself as well!
( the one right below is mine and the picture of the two are the teacher's plants.

Tried a really great recipe too this week! I got a bunch of sandwich wraps leftover that were going to go bad if i didn't use them and looked up this recipe for Tortilla Pie. Yum!

This is my Popo's Recipe for Eggtart Pie!

Super easy and fast!
oh and pretty tasty tooo!

Ingredients

5 Eggs
3 Cups Milk
1 Cup Sugar
2 Tenderflake Pie crusts
( This is for original style. DO NOT buy the Deep Dish or you will not get it cooked right!)

This Recipe is enough to fill two pies. I find these do not last long as is!

Preheat Oven to 400 Degrees.
Mix all ingredients in Kitchenaid mixer or in a bowl.
Put Shells in oven and pour mixture in.
Be carfeful not to spill when you do this!
Bake for 30 min or until crust looks baked.
Take to cool and mixture will firm up.

Eat!

Gnome Pattern Givewaway for grand opening of my new Spoonflower Shop!

I recently got a request from a customer to please have the gnome fabric available for them to make their own gnomes to make. This was perfect timing as i have been meaning to make these guys available on spoonflower but there were technical difficulties of finding all the files in the computers and some were corrupt..so i simply used the ones i had in there already!

So yep you can make your own gnomes now! yeah!

Season Gnomes ( Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter)
Emotion Gnomes (Love, Cheery, Sad, Angry )
The sizing of the gnomes are the "Large" size that i used to make. As for instructions they are pretty simple but if i get many people confused i might do a tutorial in the future.

To kick off my new shop i am having a little giveaway!

Please leave a comment and email to contact you by below!
Extra entries for going to my spoonflower shop and Pinning, Liking or Tweeting it!
A winner will be drawn on the last day of July!

Good Luck!!

From Buds to Blossoms.

I went on a fabric binge. Oh yes. The fabric on the bottom is a dress i am getting to be made.
The other fat quarters are for the ice cream quilt i hope to make! See last blog post for more details.
Things at home seem to be moving in slow motion.
Aeon is now 10 months old, Xen is out of preschool this week..
Am i the only one here that gets nothing done
on a day spent at home when i accomplished nothing for no real reason?
Well the turtle pool with the kids in it i suppose is a rather large explanation..:D

The Garden markers are from Etsy Shop Sumiko. Love these!

Lastly i am so happy to announce that i am working on my Eggtart Pattern for my Etsy Shop!
Soon you will be able to make an eggtart for your very own!
Any other patterns you would like from my past toys? I plan to do a few more hopefully!
