Aeon is 7 months today! What a smiling little cutie pie! 

Jayson just came back from NY and got my a cute teacup set from GrumpyBert Shop which he accidently ran into! They sell my eggtarts and gnomes!

This leads me to the header i put..

Everyone perfect must be lying..anything easy has it's cost.

I have had these Barenaked Ladies Lyrics in my head lately, i think it resignates with my life at this time as you look at lovely blogs about crafts or homes and see this perfect sphere that people create about themselves, i look at myself and hope no one make the same assumptions of my life. 

My life is not perfect and I want to show you the real living room as it is everyhour of everyday.

I don't wear make up, so why make up my life here as well? yep just the same as anyone who has kids my house is a toystore/baby store at the moment. However i like to close my eyes and dream..dream of sitting quietly and sewing up a skirt for myself or sitting in the sun having a tea and cookie all to myself.

SIGH..maybe just maybe i will get back into that someday.

Up Up and Crochet!

I just was thinking what can i do while the baby naps on me?

the answer was crochet! Of course i had no idea how to crochet but 

thanks to a bevy of you tube videos i am now starting a baby quilt.

I also ordered a easy kit from the CreJJtio etsy shop.

She has some awesome patterns i can't wait to show you!

Plus little Aeon is now cutting her first tooth, eating and getting more mobile by the day!

Creative Stall

Well i have nothing crafty to post this month. I am stuck in a creative rut. Perhaps it is the fact i have not slept through the night in 4 months..perhaps. Or i just am really not in the mood and prefer to play with my baby and kid instead of sewing?

Ho hum.

Boy i hope my creative rut turns around or this is going to turn into a boring blog!

Maybe i can do something by Chinese New Year? Hmmm

Baby it's cold outside..

It snowed last week, it was lovely for a about 3 hours, and then the rain washed it all away by the next morning, but just enough time for xen to make a snowman and roll around making snow angels as well.

Inside i didn't really do much this year, taking it easy with the baby and enjoying the time instead..

However i did want to do the stairwell and you can see my new mirror we got also! 

Aeon is 4 months on christmas day..it is so fast!

My hopes for the new year is to just enjoy my baby and towards the end of the year i might take the leap and start working again when my mother can help out more when she retires!

Quilted Christmas Stocking

When i got the chance to review the fabric from Modes4U i jumped at the chance!
They have a great selection of kawaii fabrics and their Christmas collection is ultra cute.
You may recall i did a giveaway with them last year so this year i get some fabric to review from them!

There is so many to choose from..it was hard to choose..

Eventually i picked 3 fat quarters of different types of cotton fabric, the fabric shipped out very fast and the quality is very good.

I decided to try out the merry stocking pattern i saw on Etsy from Pinked Fabrics.
The pattern is very ambitious for i am not a experienced quilter but with a 3 year old and a newborn i found it was easy to do a little bit everyday and viola!

I am super happy with the results and the chance to do this review has given me the momentum to keep on sewing through the tough times with a newborn in the house! I really enjoyed making this stocking and plan to make more in the future!

Plus i can't help but show you some other cute things from Modes4U that i found in the Christmas section!

 

Baby shower means tea time!

 I decided to have a little tea time get together when my friends wanted to see the baby, way smaller than the first shower since i really had everything i needed for Aeon, it was just nice to see everyone for a little tea sandwiches and my friend got me some cupcakes which are unfortunatly not in the photos!
