Frankly i am just not in the mood when summer is around to blog..frankly i don't know if i really care to blog for a while i think because i really just had no NEED to. I dunno...sometimes i really want to just throw away all online social life and just LIVE.
This summer was pretty epic. I think the best summer ever.
Part actual warm temperatures and sun in Vancouver and just plain putting the effort..y'know?
Oh! Yeah so why this post?
I finished my Crochet Baby Blanket which i started way back in the winter!
Made it in time as a present for Aeon's First Birthday too!
She ate all the birthday cake!!
Loved every bit of it too..
My latest obsession this summer is when Jayson finally put up a clothing line in our backyard that i can pull up and down with a little pulley. I never know how satisfied i felt after pinning them all up and seeing the line of clothes flapping in the sun. I have never ever had a clothes line which in East Van..is crazy since everyone has one here. Now i feel accomplished.
This was just a lunch i made ..but the colours were very autumn..
See those Chicken Wings? Those are YUM!
A Large Package of Chicken Wings..This Sauce is pretty flexible..I have used it for the large pack to just a couple pounds of wings. Whatever you can get your hands on..
1 Cup Water
3 Cloves Garlic
3 Slices of Ginger
1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar for a sweeter lighter style.
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
1/4 Cup Chicken marinade Sauce ( or just double the Soy Sauce)
1/4 Chili Chicken Sauce
2 TBSP Chives
Get a soup pot for this on high.
Put some oil in and brown the chicken. 5 minutes should do it, depends on how much chicken i got in there though.
Add garlic, ginger, Balsamic, Soy Sauce, Chicken Sauces and keep on high until it comes to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and cover for 20 min.
Take cover off and Reduce Sauce for around 10 minutes until it is a glaze.
Plate and sprinkle chives and sesame seeds on top!
It's my way to make some for freezing for easy lunches with the kids too.
Good with some mixed rice and yams!
